If yes, then you may be the new Senior Financial Controller in this newly established role.

Role and responsibilities:

As Senior Financial Controller you become a part of the Finance & Legal team with a direct reporting line to the CFO.

With your unique set of knowledge, skills and experience, you will play a central role in shaping and executing the finance journey. The role will evolve as our processes mature, but you can expect to collaborate across the organization with:

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Drive data harmonization and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Ensure compliance with Danish GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
    • Facilitate reporting using BI tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Contribute to standardizing the budgeting process and prepare budgets and forecasts.
    • Collaborate with general managers in multiple countries to understand budgetary needs and constraints.
    • Develop and implement strategies to optimize financial performance across the group.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Identify and evaluate financial risks, developing strategies to minimize these risks.
    • Ensure effective internal control and compliance with financial guidelines.
  • M&A support:
    • Support due diligence and valuation in relation to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Process optimization and Digitalization
    • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and systems.
    • Implement effective solutions and participate in the automation of routine tasks for own and offshore service center tasks.

You will join our Copenhagen (Søborg) based headquarters where we have access to a canteen shared with other companies in the building. We are a small easy-going team in Søborg where communication is fluent, and decisions are made in an agile way. You will be a part of a global company with main activities in both Latin America, USA, and France.

You can expect 2-6 weeks of annual travel to diverse and exciting locations, visiting subsidiaries and the Global Business Service center, the primary hub for our finance functions. This role offers a substantial degree of autonomy, allowing you to maintain a well-balanced lifestyle.

Key qualifications:

Proven track record in “hands on” solving of analytical problems. Should be energized by working in an international organization with great opportunities to mature processes and systems. We understand that attitude is king and value openness, a growth mindset, and a can-do approach to challenges.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field e.g. Finance, Accounting, Auditing, Economics
  • Minimum 4 years' experience as a controller or accountant, preferably within international organizations
  • Expertise in Danish GAAP and Transfer Pricing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English – Danish and Spanish would be a plus
  • Experience with various ERP systems and familiarity with consulting toolbox will also be a plus.
