Nadia Wire is expanding the team and is looking for a part time (2-3 days per week) seamstress and pattern maker to join our team. We are a small team, that operates under one roof in Søborg, DK, where the design and production team works together to constantly reinforce our products quality and to optimize our manufacturing processes. We manufacture all our products on made-to-order concept and therefore production flow variates according to our different delivery windows.
Responsibilities:
- Pattern drafting and sewing of prototypes for new collections.
- Document and create sewing operation manuals (must be in English).
- Sewing of products for production.
- Manage and maintain the sewing studio’s materials, sewing equipment and machines.
You will report to the Production Manager and work closely with the Creative Director.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience from a similar position.
- Trained seamstress and pattern maker with work experience within the fashion industry.
- Perfect skills in machine sewing, hand sewing and pattern making.
- Good verbal and written English skills are essential as we have a dynamic team.
- Basic skills in excel and word is a must.
- Knows how to operate the following equipment: Industrial & domestic sewing machines, linking knitting machines, chainstitch & overlocking sewing machines.
- Knowledge in knitted fabrics is a plus but not necessary.
- Works well independently, is detail oriented and a perfectionistic with their work
